History of this event:

Words from Ian
I started "The Worlds Largest Unofficial St Georges Day Parade" in 2004, the first Parade took place at the Merry Hill Center and was mostly attended by the local "Street Car Scene". In 2005 I moved the Parade to its current location in Solihull. In 2006 1066 MCC took over the running of the event. Since its move to Solihull the Parade has grown steadily with now more then 300 Bikes and over 200 other vehicles taking part last Year. This Years event looks set to be the biggest yet.

I`ve been asked on many occasions how the Parade came about, so here`s why I started the Parade,
Back in 1999-2003 I was an assistant Boxing Coach at Birmingham Irish Boxing Club, with the clubs strong links to the local Irish community we got invited to take part in the Birmingham St Patrick's Day Parade, so a float was sorted and attend we did, now even though I`m not Irish I was taken aback by the amount of Patriotism on show but it got me thinking has a proud Englishman why we did not have a similar event to celebrate St Georges Day, so in 2004 I decided to organize my own and now here we are again 9 Years later and we are still going strong.
The 2015 event will be finishing in Henley In Arden...
